Beginner/Intermediate Microsoft Excel

This is an introductory hands-on nine hour course where the participants will learn the basic operations of Microsoft Excel. This course will show how to use various functions of Excel to create tables to increase the productivity. It will also show how to unlock the potential of their data, by using formulas across a grid of cells. Data is inserted into individual cells in rows or columns, allowing it to be sorted and filtered, and then displayed in a visual presentation. Using pie charts, graphs and clustered columns adds meaning to data, which otherwise may just exists as row after row of numbers. Participants will also learn how to use conditional formatting to emphasis the most important part of the data. Using conditional formatting, the users will be able to display icons which represent related data, highlight a row based on a single value, compare values. The users will learn about statistical functions such as MIN, MAX, SUM, SUMIFS, AVERAGE, MODE, COUNT, COUNTA, and MEDIAN. Logical functions such as IF, IFS, AND OR, FALSE, and TRUE will be demonstrated.
