Make your own Serving Dish!

Create your very own serving dish -- just in time to use for the holidays!  The team from EarthWorks ClaySpace - Merced's only public pottery studio! - will first help you brainstorm ideas for your platter, providing templates and examples to get your creative juices flowing.  You'll then use a slab of clay to create the dish, even adding handles and a footring, if you'd like! Once it's fully formed, participants will choose from a variety of over 30 beautiful food-safe glaze colors which will be painted on your piece once it's been fired in a kiln specifically made for ceramic.  Your completed dish will be ready for pickup a few weeks later, ready for you to serve your favorite holiday treat on!
